Marketing Internship Description
As the marketing intern, you will be exposed to every aspect of the marketing department. Channel Managers adapt projects to the areas you are most interested in. You will work closely with the marketing supervisor and channel managers and take the lead on many projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your ideas, and present them to the company. And though you will keep very busy with projects, you are surrounded with fun and exciting people. As the marketing intern, you will take away the skills you need to have a successful career in this field.
In addition, you will work closely with the other department interns to design and implement a Universal Training program for Equity Trust Company’s Continuing Education Program. The training will be presented to all of Equity Trust Company, ensuring that you and your team will impact the company’s employees. Interns will then present their project during Equity Trust Company’s Universal Training Week, providing you and your team mates a chance to develop presentation and teamwork skills and take on the role of a trainer.
The Internship Program Eligibility Requirements:
- A junior or senior status student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business, Communications and/or Marketing.
- Minimum G.P.A of 3.0.
- PC skills including: MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Dreamweaver and Indesign knowledge a plus!
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work/school related activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Past Projects:
While projects vary, you will be assigned to a project that will most benefit the needs of the marketing department. This gives you the opportunity to directly impact the company. Past intern projects include:
- The design, formation, and printing of a new Human Resources Brochure to be used at recruiting events.
- Researching and analyzing marketing reports and trends.
- Taking a project lead on implementing a newly designed customer process and conducting extensive market research to determine the future state of this program.
- Creation, development and updating of a competitor marketing analysis.
- Creation of online training tutorials to assist prospects and clients in completing forms.
