PERSONAL BENEFITS

Paid Time Off (PTO)
There is a graduated schedule of Paid Time Off, based on an employee’s length of service.
 
Years of Service

0 - 3 years 10 days / 80 hours
4 - 6 years 15 days / 120 hours
7+ years 20 days / 160 hours

Sick Time
Employees are eligible for sick time annually, in addition to their PTO entitlement.
 
Holidays
Full Time Equity Trust Employees are eligible for 8.5 paid holidays a year.  The following is a list of the company honored holidays:

FINANCIAL BENEFITS
 
Life Insurance
Equity Trust provides their full-time and part-time employees (30 hours plus),
who meet the eligibility requirements, with paid Basic Life Insurance.  The plan
includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance equal to the employee’s
life benefits.  These benefits are administered through Guardian Life
Insurance Company of America.
  • Non-Exempt - $30,000
  • Exempt (non-management) - $75,000
  • Managers/Executives - $100,000
Short/Long Term Disability
Equity Trust provides their full-time employees, who meet the eligibility requirements, with Short and Long Term Disability Insurance.  This insurance benefit is designed to provide income benefits to employees, in the event they become disabled from a non-work related injury or illness.  Guardian Insurance Company administers the company’s Short and Long Term Insurance Plans. 
 
401(k) Plan
Equity Trust’s 401 (k) Plan has been adopted to provide full and part-time (more than 1000 hours annually) employees with the opportunity to save for retirement on a tax-deferred basis.

Equity Administrative Services offers two 401(k) Options:
  1. Traditional Plan - Contributions are made on a pre-tax basis
  2. Roth Plan - Contributions are made on a post-tax basis
Equity Trust matches employee contributions 100 percent up to three percent, and 50 percent up to five percent.  This is a Safe Harbor matching plan, which the company match is immediately vested! Additionally, the plan has a discretionary matching contribution provision. A discretionary amount determined by employer, will be made based on company performance. To be eligible for the discretionary match participants must be employed on the last day of the plan year and have worked 1,000 hours or more during the plan year. The discretionary match does go on a six year vesting schedule.

employees quality health care at a reasonable cost.  The needs of our employees

VSP, is our provider of vision care benefits.  VSP partners with a nationwide network of providers to ensure members receive quality vision care. Our Vision Services Benefit Plan includes comprehensive vision examinations and discounts/coverage for eyeglasses and lenses.
 
Dental
Guardian’s Dental Guard Preferred Plan offers our employees and their families a dental plan with flexible, high-quality dental benefits.  Dental Guard Preferred combines the freedom of choice of a traditional plan with the economy of managed care.  Employees have the option of choosing a network dentist or any dentist they wish.  No matter what dentist they choose, they will have coverage they can count on!

Company Sponsored Events
Equity Trust Company recognizes the need to take care of their employees. ETC sponsors quarterly events for their employees and families. In the past, ETC has taken their employees to a fun day at the Zoo, Back in time to a 50s Sock Hop, a family night at the Indians Game, and a "winning" time at the ETC Casino Night!

Volunteer and Social Perks
Our employees volunteer their time and talent to a variety of charitable and community events and causes. Equity Trust employees make a real difference in our community by participating in local community service events, ranging from Adopt-A-Family, Relay-For-Life, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Lorain County and the Life Share Blood Drives, and  Voices for Children. Our events allow our employees to build stronger relationships with their co-workers by getting to know them outside of the work environment.
