Westlake to gain new office building

Construction of Convergent, a two-building office complex at the I-90/Crocker Road interchange in Westlake, is underway… The buildings will rise on the north side of I-90 on sites on the east and west sides of the Equity Trust Co. headquarters building, 1 Equity Way. Central Indiana man using retirement investments to house homeless veterans

A local man is using his retirement fund in a unique way. He’s taking the investment and buying properties to house homeless veterans. The move has allowed Gremling to grow his retirement fund while also giving back to those in need. Now, 23 veterans have a stable place to live. “We use a self-directed IRA as an entity to own the properties so it’s not only an investment for me but it’s also an investment in the people that we house,” Gremling said.

Lorain businessman offers to pay for Boys and Girls Clubs members education

Lorain businessman Dick Desich told an assembly of Lorain County leaders as well as members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lorain County that he would pay the tuition for 10 of the club’s members to attend Lorain County Community College upon completion of high school July 12.
