John Kish Joins Equity Trust Company as Chief Information Officer
CLEVELAND, OHIO, March 1, 2023
John Kish has been named Chief Information Officer at Equity Trust Company, a technology-forward financial services company enabling investors to diversify retirement accounts into alternative assets.
John brings over 20 years of executive experience to the role, in which he will support the company’s ever-evolving business needs with technology advancements.
Equity Trust is at the forefront of the self-directed account industry, developing solutions for individuals and working with top fintech companies to make private-market and other alternative investments – such as real estate, private equity, precious metals, and cryptocurrency – more accessible to the average investor. John will lead the charge to continue the business and technology innovation.

Before joining Equity Trust Company, John served as the EVP and CIO of Medical Mutual of Ohio, where he was responsible for all aspects of Information Technology and Transformation. Prior to that, John was the CIO at Safe Auto Insurance Company, leading information technology and analytics advancement.
Prior to Safe Auto, John served Progressive Insurance as an executive in the Customer Relationship Management Organization. He increased customer satisfaction, reduced costs, and grew revenue by developing customer insights and improving multi-channel customer experience. While at Progressive, John also held executive roles in Marketing, Product Management, and Information Technology. Before Progressive, John was a Partner at Accenture, a Global 500 consulting firm.
John received his undergraduate degree in computer information systems from The Ohio State University and his MBA from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
