7

What is the storage fee for precious metals?

Precious metals require secure depository storage with annual fees.

Segregated storage, which incurs a $160 annual fee, means your precious metals are stored separately from others’ holdings, identified specifically as yours, and returned to you in the same form you deposited.

Non-segregated storage, which incurs a $110 annual fee, means your metals are pooled with similar metals from other clients, but your ownership is tracked by recordkeeping rather than by physical separation.

8

Does the storage fee include shipping fees? Does it cover insurance during shipping?

No, the storage fee only covers secure storage at the depository facility. Shipping costs are separate and calculated based on: (1) weight and value of your metals, and (2) required insurance coverage.

You’ll receive a shipping quote from the carrier selected by the depository before any transfer is processed. Expect shipping fees to range from $50-$300+ depending on your metals’ value and destination.
